Sure , the best time to visit Jordan is spring or fall as we have Mediterranean climate, but if you do have O/N in Petra , then it is good to start at 8:00 am, in order to see the sun lights hitting the treasury ( Al Khazneh; where they filmed Indiana Jones ) by the time you be there. Sure this time differs in winter , or summer , as we do have short daytime in winter, sun will be for short time there. So, you have to ask the day before ( or few days before you visit ), when is the best time to start the tour; to get to the treasury by the time sun hits it!!
