Meet Vincent van Gogh, one of the world’s most beloved artists, on this private 2-hours tour of the Van Gogh Museum. This collection of his paintings, the richest in the world, holds some of van Gogh’s most famous works. You will be able to admire in living color many of his self-portraits, “The Potato Eaters”, “Sunflowers”, “The Bedroom”, “Almond Blossom”, “Wheatfield with Crows”, and other important paintings. As we survey these iconic and lesser-known works, you will learn everything about van Gogh’s artistic evolution, unique style, and tumultuous life. We will examine his early works in the Netherlands, his impressionistic paintings from Paris, and his post-impressionist evolution in Arles, Saint-Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise. We will discuss his scientific approach to colors and his struggle to develop a distinctive style. Various influences and experiments nurtured van Gogh’s incredible transformation. In just a few years, he turned from a mediocre craftsman into a pioneer of bold self-expression. We will also talk about his family, professional failures, religious quest, and love life. For many people, Van Gogh’s legend—his poverty, mental illness, suicide—may overshadow the immense artistic value of his work. Together, we will debunk the myths surrounding his name and reconstruct his journey beyond the sensational highlights. A private tour allows you to discover the museum at your own pace. You will enjoy the full attention of a professional guide and have an engaging, intimate conversation about art. TICKETS The tickets are not included in the price (19€ for adults, free for children under 18). They can be only booked online, on the museum's official website. Please note: during the busy summer season, tickets are sold out quickly. I can always arrange 2 tickets, but if you have a larger party, please consider booking the tickets as early as possible. My mission as a professional tour guide is to help you build a personal connection to Amsterdam— its modern and old history, atmosphere and exceptional art.

I use my versatile background in humanities, journalism, and marketing to turn academic cultural knowledge into fun and thrilling stories. I help you see the “why” behind the “what” and turn your tour into an exciting cultural discovery.

I moved to Amsterdam from Paris, where I had worked as a State-licensed tour guide. I hadn’t expected to love any new city so much—but here I am, completely infatuated with Amsterdam. And I’m happy to share it with you.
