Pompeii is located in the Bay of Naples, a densely populated area in Southern Italy. It’s the largest archaeological site in Europe, buried by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and brought back to light nearly intact. Pompeii is one of the biggest Archaeological sites in Europe with about 3 milion visitors a year that offers the occasion the understand how Roman life looked like 2,000 years ago.
