My diverse back ground in the tourism , travel industry & life includes: Concierge at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel, working at the airports, destination management companies, incentive houses, a corporate travel director with companies like American Express, international tour operators that include Globus, as a tour manager . I am also public speakers both on line and live . I have worked for Tourism Montreal's as media relations manager as well as in the, business, convention and communication departments . . Including working with sales teams to bring international conferences to Montreal. I have also worked tourism commission, in various capacities that include developing programmes for emerging markets, consultant, leading familiarization tours, working with film crews and organizing events. I continue to work as a private concierge and offer training, evaluation in the tourism industry both in Montreal & abroad. I am photographer, I sing, am dancer teacher and still perform in front of live audiences
I am an avid adventurous traveller , having visited 151 countries and lived for periods of 3 to 6 months in 29 different places world wide that include Egypt, India, the Arabian Gulf , Italy, London, Spain etc. I travel for work, study languages, dance, music, photograph, art and culinary art. I collect art & antique tribal jewellery. During my travels I learn to cook unusual dishes from locals, which I create at home. On my journeys I give workshops, training and volunteer. The type of travel, my international network , my experiences and the languages I can communicate in, have opened doors but have also helped me in offering truely personalised private tours and experiences in Montreal.
I am President Emeritus of both the World Federation of Tourist Guide Association The international organization representing tourist guides world wide . My international involvement with colleagues who are local experts & private guides world wide has taught me to observe, improve, learn and share experiences continuously to be a better guide but also to share knowledge with others.
