Uppsala is the 4th largest city in Sweden, has been a religious and learning center since Medieval times.
The City is very compact, packed with attractions and at a short walking distance from each other. Uppsala is bike and family friendly.
Pick-up: we meet in Stockholm Central Station,
And board a train (for a 40′ ride) across the Swedish countryside,
– From Uppsala station, we drive to the Old area of the city where we stop by:
– Carl Von Linne Museum, the Great botanist (45′),
– Uppsala Medieval Cathedral (from 13th century), 35′
– The Old University Building & Academic park, 35′
– Uppsala University Library (Carolina Redeviva) 25′
– Uppsala Uppland Museum, 25′
– the Botanical Gardens (the Tropical Garden & the Orangery), 1hr 30′
-Uppsala Medieval Castle (from 1600), 25′
– Coffee break (inside the Castle): 20′
After the drive to the station & back to Stockholm.
